One of our clients owned a chain of restaurants and to his credit, he had the foresight (back then) to create a website even though quite frankly, he had no idea what he was suppose to do with it.
So like just about every other small business owners with no concept of online marketing, he told his webmaster to create something “nice looking” for him. And his webmaster went off and did exactly that.
The problem was, while it was “pretty”, it served really no purpose. It was “just yet another website” that had no function.
So when we came onboard, that’s where we started. We asked ourselves, “What would make patrons of a restaurant want to give their contact information? What would they like in exchange?”
The answer was simple, coupons, discounts, and special offers! Everyone is a bargain shopper nowadays and who doesn’t love saving money?

We also worked out a nice little “VIP package: this restaurant can sell to their high-end customers to make them feel that much more special and well, to keep them coming back again and again. Then we got to work ovehauling their entire website and branding and well, a bunch of other “internet marketing” magic that we do
So after is all said and done, what happened?

Tripled Their Online Traffic
As you can see, here, they were working with minimal amount of traffic a day and after we took over, they definitely saw a significant increase to their numbers. But here’s the “untold story”…
Not only did we setup an opt-in box (along with a VIP program), we also queued up a sequence of emails that go out every few weeks with discounts and coupons – which essentially guaranteed the restaurant owners with loyal repeat customers (who again… love coupons). Beyond that, we also built up a database of thousands (and counting) of customers that they can email and market to whenever they’d like a nice influx of customers (say… on a rainy day).
