While there are many techniques for white hat SEO, the top technique for white hat SEO is quality content. “Content is King” should be your SEO mantra. Without that quality content, your website will never get the kind fof search engine success you are looking for and depending on.
The most valuable way to optimize your website for search engines is to invest time in developing well written, unique quality content. It might take time to create quality content, but the returns that you will get on developing that content are invaluable. It’s better to spend more time doing a job properly than to waste smaller spurts of time doing techniques that are not nearly as effective at promoting your website and can even have a negative effect on your reputation.
The job of a search engine is to submit to a user a list of what it finds are the most relevant or appropriate websites in response to a search.
Here’s an example–imagine you’re looking for a bicycle shop in Los Angeles. If there are two competing websites for bicycle shops in Los Angeles, and the first shop is a website with a few paragraphs of text explaining that they sell bicycles and offering a phone number to contact them.
The second website discusses the types of services they offer–they sell bicycles, repair bicycles, and offer classes in bicycle maintenance and safety. It also discusses the different types of bicycles and offers examples in the stock that they have for each type of bicycle, whether it’s a mountain bicycle, road bicycle or a fixed gear bicycle.
