According to a recent report, many businesses are giving up on maintaining their blogs in favor of short posts on Facebook and Twitter. Don’t follow that trend!
Facebook and Twitter are great but your content can get lost in the shuffle on those sites because of the real-time, constant updating nature of the Newsfeed and Twitter streams. If you really want to hold and maintain attention, keep up your blog.
You can post links to your content on Twitter and Facebook, and keep the conversation’s momentum going on your blog, which is more likely to stay static for a longer period of time.
It’s important to make social media and your blog work together to support your long-term business goals. So don’t dump your blog in favor of what might be the “cool new kid” on the block.
